Refunds and cancelling
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy explains how to cancel a Meshsmith subscription, when you can get money back, and your legal right to cancel as a UK consumer. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Meshsmith is a trading name of William March, a sole trader based in the UK. Business address: 4a Victoria Grove, Bridport, DT6 5AW. Contact: info@finterm.xyz.
In short
- Pro (£29 a month) and Studio (£79 a month) are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. No VAT is charged, because Meshsmith is not VAT-registered.
- You can cancel at any time under Manage billing in your account, or by emailing info@finterm.xyz.
- After you cancel, we do not charge you again, and you keep your plan and credits until the end of the month you have paid for.
- Unused credits do not roll over to the next month, and they are not refunded when the month ends.
- Credits for failed generations are refunded automatically.
- If you are a consumer and you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing, before using any paid credits, you get a full refund.
Cancelling your subscription
- Sign in and open Manage billing. This opens the Stripe customer portal.
- Choose Cancel plan.
- The portal shows the date your plan ends, and Stripe emails you a confirmation.
Your plan stays active until the end of the billing month you have paid for. After that, your account moves to the Free plan, and you can still download the models you have made.
If you have trouble cancelling, email info@finterm.xyz from your account email address and we will cancel for you and confirm by email.
Cancelling does not delete your account. To delete your account, email info@finterm.xyz.
Your 14-day right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 normally give you 14 days to change your mind after buying something online. For Meshsmith, those 14 days start on the day you first subscribe.
Paid credits give you access to digital content, your generated models, which we supply immediately. When you subscribe, we ask you to:
- agree that we start supplying the service and digital content straight away, within the 14-day cancellation period; and
- confirm that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once you use paid credits.
We confirm both in your subscription confirmation email.
What this means for you:
- You cancel within 14 days of first subscribing and have not used any paid credits: we refund your first payment in full, and your plan ends straight away.
- You gave the agreement and confirmation above and have used paid credits: the 14-day right to cancel no longer applies to that payment. You can still cancel future renewals at any time.
- We did not ask for that agreement and confirmation, or did not send you a confirmation email, and you cancel within 14 days: we refund your first payment in full, even if you have used credits.
The 14-day right applies to your first subscription payment only. It does not start again with each monthly renewal. You can stop future renewals at any time by cancelling.
To use your right to cancel, email info@finterm.xyz with "Cancel and refund" in the subject line. You can use this model form, but you do not have to:
To William March, trading as Meshsmith, 4a Victoria Grove, Bridport, DT6 5AW, info@finterm.xyz: I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: Meshsmith Pro / Studio subscription (delete as appropriate). Ordered on: Name: Account email: Date:
Failed generations
If a generation fails, for example because of a server error or a job that does not finish, the credits it used go back into your balance automatically. You do not need to contact us. If the credits have not come back, email info@finterm.xyz with the time of the generation.
Faulty or misdescribed models
AI results vary, and a free draft lets you check the shape before you spend credits. Even so, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that digital content you pay for must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
If a paid model is faulty, for example a corrupted file or a model that clearly does not match what you were charged for, email info@finterm.xyz within 30 days with the model and the prompt. We will first offer to generate it again or to return the credits. If that does not fix the problem, you may be entitled to some or all of your money back.
Other refunds
- Unused credits at the end of a billing month are not refunded. Each month's credits are part of that month's price, and plan credits do not roll over. This does not affect your rights under the two sections above.
- Upgrades from Pro to Studio are charged as the difference for the current month at the time you upgrade. If you upgraded by mistake, email us within 48 hours, before using the extra credits, and we will reverse the upgrade and refund the difference.
- Service changes or closure: if we significantly reduce what a paid plan includes, close your account without good reason, or stop providing Meshsmith, we refund any amount you have paid for the period after the change.
- Duplicate or incorrect charges: email us and we will refund any charge made in error.
How refunds are paid
We pay refunds back to the payment method you used, through Stripe. We process them within 14 days of agreeing the refund, or of receiving your cancellation notice if you are using your 14-day right to cancel. Your bank may take a few more days to show the money. We do not charge a fee for refunds.
If you subscribe as a business
The 14-day right to cancel does not apply to business customers. You can still cancel at any time, and the sections on failed generations, other refunds and how refunds are paid still apply to you.
